Fishing is one of the more popular beach activities that many visitors and residents like to do. There are so many different types of fish that you can catch including bluefish, flounder, sea bass, tautog (blackfish), kingfish, shark, and the famous striped bass (rockfish). The Boardwalk
The Ocean City Boardwalk is known all over the world for its attractions. This boardwalk has everything you could imagine from a beach boardwalk. You can walk for blocks along this wooden path and discover something new along the way. From souvenir shops to fresh seafood restaurants to candy shops, you have no shortage of wonder and discovery.
Of course, we can’t forget about the seaside amusement park. Between the rides and the food, it’s fun for the whole family and the perfect way to end the beach day.
Away from the beach and Boardwalk
There is so much more to the natural landscape of New Jersey than the beach. Hike along the Crook Horn Creek Nature Trail to get the best views of the Bay or visit the Howard Stainton Wildlife Refuge for some birdwatching.
If you are looking to brush up on your golfing skills, the Ocean City Municipal Golf Course is open to nonresident players of all ages. If you don’t want to lug your clubs on your vacation, the club has some available for rent.
